Are you looking for a meaningful way to serve at Mass? Our Lady of the Lake is seeking altar servers ages 10 and older who have received their First Communion. Mark your calendar for Sunday, July 5! During the 5:00 pm Mass at Assumption, our parish family will gather for a special celebration inspired by a national prayer service honoring the many journeys, cultures, and traditions that have shaped America.

Have you thought about being a Proclaimer of the Word of God and possessing a good speaking voice? The new lector schedule for Our Lady of the Lake, covering July to the end of November, will be prepared soon.

Forty food packages were distributed among elders and children in Yali. We were able to buy 20 cans of Glucerna and Pediasure milk for children and older adults with special needs, as well as diapers. The Food packages contain: sugar, cooking oil, rice, soup, spaghetti, oatmeal, soy milk, toothpaste, laundry detergent, and dish soap. Thank you so much for making this possible.

Vacation Bible School for our parish family will be happening July 6th-10th. This will be open to all incoming pre-K through 5th-grade students. Please consider registering your student for a week of fellowship and fun!

Our presiders will be offering a blessing to all the graduates in our community next weekend, June 6th and 7th, at all the Masses.

Today, May 25, Pope Leo XIV will release his first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas (Magnificent Humanity), which is one of the highest forms of Church teaching. His letter, which will be released with Christopher Olah, the co-founder of artificial intelligence company Anthropic, addresses the reality of the human person in the context of today’s dominating reality of artificial intelligence.

Whether you are a walker or a hiker, we have some events for you. Our Heavenly Hikers group visited both the Washington Arboretum and the Japanese Garden to stretch our legs and enjoy the spring colors and flowers. This was mostly a slow saunter - stopping to soak in spring sunshine.

Assumption parishioner Mary Fontana has written a new book, Strangers in the Province of Joy: Practicing Radical Hospitality on the US-Mexico Border. Join Mary for a book event at the University Bookstore on Saturday, June 6, at 4 pm. She will talk about the book, which tells the story of Annunciation House, a Catholic house of hospitality in El Paso, Texas, that has housed over half a million migrants and refugees. The event is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the St. Catherine of Siena Rosary Group, The Relic Project is bringing over 50+ first-class relics of the saints to St. Catherine of Siena on May 20! A short talk will be given, followed by public veneration in Victoria Hall from 2:45 - 5:00 PM. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to invite the saints into your life.

Our NE Seattle Catholic Community will continue to provide a monthly fourth Sunday supper delivered between 5:00 and 6:00 PM to Tent City 4 at its new Lake City location, 3212 NE 125th Street, Seattle 98125, through April 2027 in the parking area behind the Seattle Mennonite Church.

Help us bring our Sunday Night Mass to life at Assumption Parish. This shared parish family Mass welcomes everyone, with a special invitation to teens and young adults, and takes place at 5:00 pm each Sunday. We’re looking for volunteers for liturgical ministries, including lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, greeters, and sacristans. A funeral service for Barbara Fraser, beloved retired 2nd-grade teacher at OLL, will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church on April 30 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and support her family during this time.

Help capture the life of our parish by taking photos at weekend Masses and uploading them to a shared Google Drive.
