    A big thank you to Fr. Mike Angelovic, senior priest in the archdiocese, for donating his chalice to OLL, where he grew up. Father attended OLL school for several years before attending our seminary in Kenmore. Fr. Mike was ordained in 1967 and served in many parishes in Western Washington, including our own Assumption Parish. Let’s remember Fr. Angelovich in our prayers.

It was a wonderful morning of connection, fresh air, and breathtaking views. As we walked the trails together, new friendships began to form and conversations flowed easily.     The month of June through mid-July continues a trend of receiving requests for help from neighbors we have not seen before (17% of calls received were from new neighbors). The good news is that several of these neighbors are moving out of homelessness! However, they move into subsidized housing with nothing, only the clothes they own. This means they have no furniture, kitchen items, beds, towels, hygiene items, food, etc. We visit these neighbors and often sit on the floor of their living rooms to hear their stories.
